When creating is cheap

There’s always been a general agreement; it’s significantly more expensive to create content than it is to consume it. Avatar took 8 years and $400m to create, and it took me 3 hours and $15 to consume.

The cost of creation is what you pay to get my attention. But this formula is starting to invert. The OpenAI Playground shows just how easy it is to flip that formula. A single prompt that takes 15 seconds to write creates content that takes 3 minutes to read.

I am curious on what the world will look like when the price for our attention is dirt cheap; when it’s cheap to create, and expensive to consume.
